Jeffrey R. Golen, M.D.

Meet Jeffrey R. Golen, MD

Dr. Jeffrey R. Golen is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cornea care, cataract surgery, and comprehensive eye health management. Originally from the metropolitan Detroit area in Michigan, Dr. Golen developed a passion for science at a young age, particularly in biology. While he considered a career in research, his love for community, patient interaction, and helping others led him to medicine.

After completing his medical training and advanced fellowship in corneal surgery, Dr. Golen served as an ophthalmology faculty member at the University of Virginia. There, he treated complex cataracts, severe traumas, advanced infections, and congenital eye disorders. He now brings his expertise to Central Florida Ophthalmology, where he is dedicated to improving patients’ vision and overall eye health.
